A student went to his master: “I want to know everything
about Zen”
He got this answer: “May I offer you a cup of tea?”,
starting pouring till it was completely full and spilling over.
“Can’t you see it’s full?!” asked the student, surprised.
Then the master explained to him our mind must be empted of
stupid opinions, preconceptions and guesswork before learning something new:
the student’s mind was like his cup of tea…
